Search past charts

There are two ways to search. Both find past moments that look like today. Both show what happened next. Neither one averages the results or makes a forecast.

Chart search for big coins

Pick a coin, an exchange and a bar size. A bar is the price over a set time, like 1 hour. We take the last 48 bars and keep only the shape. That means how much the price went up or down in each bar.

Then we look for the closest past charts of the same coin on the same exchange. BTC on Coinbase is only compared with BTC on Coinbase. We never mix in other coins or other exchanges.

Each match shows its own chart. It also shows how the price moved after it. For 48 hourly bars, that is 12, 24 and 48 hours later. You get one match per past moment. None of them overlap today.

The big coins are BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, DOGE, ADA, AVAX, LINK and TRX. Coinbase has no BNB, LINK or TRX. OKX has no LINK. Dates show the oldest data on that exchange, usually for BTC. Coins that started trading later start later. We are still adding 5 minute data.

Hyperliquid search with more detail

On Hyperliquid we have every trade. So this search looks at more than the price. It checks five things over 30 bars:

  • How much the price moved.
  • Whether more people were buying or selling.
  • The change in open interest. Open interest is the total size of trades that are still open.
  • Liquidations. A liquidation is when an exchange closes a trade because the trader's money ran out.
  • How big the move was compared with normal days.

Each one is compared with that coin's last 7 days. You give a coin and a time. It finds the closest past moments. It shows what the price did in the next 1 hour or 4 hours.

You can also ask why each match was picked. Then it tells you which of the five things matched. It also groups matches from the same moment. If ten coins moved in the same minute, that counts as one moment.

What a match is not

An answer describes what happened. It is not a forecast and not advice. A match shows what happened after a past moment. It does not say what will happen now.

We never give an average, a win rate or a direction. You get each past moment on its own. Each one shows its date and where the data came from.

How to ask
